Yesterday we started the Debt chapter! The most interesting thing was the idea that Banks are just companies that have done a good job of convincing people that they need DEBT! Talk about great marketing strategy...

Dave talked about how a borrower is a slave to the lender. Message to the kids...if you can afford to "help" someone economically, just give them the money as a gift and don't put them in a subordinate position to you.

Chaney - Joe creates a computer program for families where each member wears a monitor equipped with data entry, datebook, panic button, GPS, and two-way communication. The parents can input the schedules into a main computer program on the home computer. It monitors where everyone is and reminds of appointments and activities. It comes in several styles...a wrist watch, a cell phone, a necklace, etc. Parents can see where their child is at any given moment and have direct contact with them either in voice or text depending on age.

Driskell - Mason invents a special cover for openings on worksites that have bright yellow warning stripes and extra reinforced grids to support even a full grown man. The covers are expandable within a certain range and come in several sizes. Nicolina creates a logo that says, "Got You Covered" and Mason sends it out to major safety companies. One replies and buys the idea for $100,000.
